I want to share my inspiring experience studying at Anglichannka school and preparing for work in English. I decided to find a teacher as soon as I made the decision to quit my job in Russia and pursue a position in Europe. I already had conversational skills, and initially, I thought it would be a good idea to work with a native speaker. However, after trying lessons with a few native teachers, I realized I wasn`t able to connect with them; I didn`t want to follow a textbook, communicate via email, or have lessons using PowerPoint. From the very first trial lesson at Anglichannka, I felt an immediate connection. I was fortunate to have an excellent teacher. We quickly established rapport, and I was inspired by the relaxed format of our conversations, the absence of textbooks, and the use of an interactive board in Miro. The best part was definitely the personalized approach to each student, creating a timeline for our learning journey and focusing on topics that interested me. In just three months, we covered the fundamentals to address my gaps, tackled numerous interview questions, enhanced my LinkedIn profile, and crafted an impressive resume and cover letter. Once I felt ready for interviews in English, we began reviewing my interview recordings and shifted our focus toward teamwork skills. Just this week, after four months of lessons and numerous interviews in English, I finally got my dream job offer from a European company!
